As an accomplished performing jazz musician, I have been teaching improvisational and classical piano / keyboard to students of all ages, levels and styles for over forty years. Over the past eight years, I've taught at my home studio in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, including small jazz ensembles comprised of my students.

Lessons consist of a blend of technique, notation, ear training, theory, and composition, adapted to the strengths, learning style, and interests of each student. Students' interests strongly guide the direction their lessons take. I strive to teach a deeper knowledge of music, rather than simply playing written notes!

My unique teaching style is open and accepting, engaging and fun. Always wanted to learn to improvise? We can do that. Beginners, intermediate players, and gigging musicians welcome. To discuss an exploratory lesson or learn more, please contact me. Thanks!
